ProChile is the Chilean government institution responsible for trade promotion, with 57 offices around the world and 16 regional offices in Chile. One of ProChile´s newest offices opened in Philadelphia in November 2020, an important moment and step in strengthening the economic relationship with Greater Philadelphia.

Learn more about the tools that ProChile can provide you in doing business with Chile as well as the vast opportunities in the food and beverage sector. For example, Philadelphia is the number one port of entry for Chilean fresh fruits, and most fruits you eat in the winter come from Chile, which is possible due to the counter seasonality between Chile and the USA. Additionally, Chile is one of the largest producers and suppliers of salmon, wines, and other products for the local market. An important priority for Chile in recent years has been the diversification of Chilean exports using innovative technologies to produce high value-added products, while using the natural resources and commodities as a base. This has allowed for continued development of the food and beverage sector and the opening of diverse sections within the distribution chain.
